Christmas duck with apples and walnuts
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 whole duck
- 6 apples
- 150 g walnuts
- 2 tablespoons marjoram
- salt, pepper
METHOD:
Wash the duck. Rub it generously with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with marjoram. Set aside for several hours. Cut the apples into quarters and put them inside the duck – together with a handful of nuts. Place in an oven preheated to 175 C (gas mark 4) for approx. 2 hours (i.e. 1 hour roasting time per 1 kg duck). Pour the melted fat over the duck from time to time.
